BlowersWorld.com is a site originally thought up by DJ Pete Kraymon, to document the phenomena that is ‘doing a blower’. The strapline explains it best: “From this point on expect vast improvements in quality of life. All you need is a camera and a loose set of cheeks. The enjoyment will come naturally.”

Anyway, we built it to try out Joomla as a CMS (they had a Hot Or Not module available which worked well), and to try out google adwords. To date we’ve made about $10 in two years, probably because google keeps displaying leaf blower ads.

Our verdict on using and skinning Joomla sites? Clunky. Don’t think we’ll use it again, but served its purpose.
